Have a Great (and Safe) Holiday Season!

Please be careful this holiday season. Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol can put a damper on the end of the year and lead to a rotten new year. Whether you are out for a party, getting last minute gifts for your loved ones, please be very careful on our Florida roads. Unfortunately, year after year we hear stories of deadly accidents during the week of Christmas and New Years where driving and alcohol or drugs are involved. This happens very often, even after people receive words of caution from their loved ones and close friends when they leave a holiday party or a local bar or restaurant hosting festivities.

Remember to be smart. If you are going to drink, be very careful and if you even think for a second you have had too much, call a cab or a friend, but never drive! Especially in central Florida, where there is so much construction going, it is easy to get confused especially on roads like 408 and 436. Where ever you are headed under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you are more likely to get yourself in trouble. DUI cases are expensive, time consuming and the risk of hurting someone if you interfere with the driving of others on the road. No one should have to avoid the poor driving of drunk drivers while driving on highways in Orlando that are already notoriously unsafe for sober drivers. For a brief moment of fun, it is never worth the regret you will have if you hurt someone while behind the wheel.

From all of the lawyers and staff at the Umansky Law Firm, we wish you a happy holiday season and a great New Year!
