From March 24 to March 28, The Umansky Law Firm served as a drop-off spot for donations to help young women in a local juvenile detention center. Many of these girls lacked access to essential hygiene items. Something as simple as donating pads or tampons made a real difference.

She was one of the many great speakers that took the time to inform students how to use their rights in a safe matter when interacting with law enforcement. The event offered different activities afterward for students to participate in, such as the Know Your Rights 3 vs. 3 Basketball Tournament sponsored by the Teachers for Justice.
The Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers held a Diversity and Bias Elimination CLE event. Attorney Rachel Mattie helped put together this event covering the story of the Ocoee Massacre and its lasting impacts on the community. Even though the massacre occurred a century ago, its legal ramifications are still discussed today.
Attorney Rachel Mattie had the privilege of judging students at the Florida High School Mock Trial Competition. The Florida High School Mock Trial Competition has some of the brightest and most dedicated students who use critical thinking skills, legal reasoning, and analysis to take on legal cases. Her extensive knowledge and dedication to representing the people of Central Florida makes her the perfect judge of tomorrow’s lawyers.
