The proceeds from the event benefitted the Second Chance Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping individuals and families in need.
Getting a second chance can make a huge difference in someone’s life. As criminal defense and personal injury attorneys, we believe everyone deserves a second chance and want to honor that belief by offering a scholarship. Plenty of students pursuing an education could be embarking on their second chance. That is why we want to do what we can to help. We are no longer accepting applications for this year’s scholarship but to learn more about the details of this opportunity, visit our scholarship page.
We are happy to be a part of the Integrated Spine & Joint Institute’s Hispanic Community Celebración. We are always looking forward to finding ways to connect with the community. The Integrated Spine & Joint Institute hosted a great event with live entertainment, great food, and fun activities.

Attorney Rachel Mattie had the opportunity to educate students at Wekiva High School on their constitutional rights. She was one of the many great speakers that took the time to inform students how to use their rights in a safe matter when interacting with law enforcement. The event offered different activities afterward for students to participate in, such as the Know Your Rights 3 vs. 3 Basketball Tournament sponsored by the Teachers for Justice.
The Central Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers held a Diversity and Bias Elimination CLE event. Attorney Rachel Mattie helped put together this event covering the story of the Ocoee Massacre and its lasting impacts on the community. Even though the massacre occurred a century ago, its legal ramifications are still discussed today.
Attorney Rachel Mattie had the privilege of judging students at the Florida High School Mock Trial Competition. Her extensive knowledge and dedication to representing the people of Central Florida makes her the perfect judge of tomorrow’s lawyers.
