The Umansky Law Firm offers hands-on law firm internships in Orlando designed for students interested in gaining real-world experience in both the legal field and the business operations of a modern law firm. We offer three internship tracks: Criminal Defense Legal Internship, Personal Injury Legal Internship, and Marketing & Business Development Internship.
Our internships are open to undergraduate students as well as law students who have completed their first year of law school. The Marketing & Business Development Internship is ideal for students interested in marketing, business strategy, and law firm operations.
Interns participate in research, observe court proceedings and trials, and gain insight into how attorneys prepare cases and represent clients. Interns also have the opportunity to see how firm events are planned and executed from start to finish. Each program is designed to provide meaningful experience and a deeper understanding of how legal strategy, marketing, and business development work together to support a successful law firm. Interns leave the program with practical skills, professional mentorship, and valuable insight into career paths within the legal industry.

The Criminal Defense Legal Internship at The Umansky Law Firm provides undergraduate students and law students who have completed their first year of law school with firsthand exposure to criminal law and litigation. Interns assist with legal research, case preparation, and reviewing case materials while working alongside experienced criminal defense attorneys.
Interns regularly have the opportunity to observe hearings, trials, and courtroom proceedings, allowing them to see how criminal cases move through the legal system. This internship provides valuable insight into defense strategy, legal writing, and the day-to-day work involved in representing clients facing criminal charges.
The Personal Injury Legal Internship offers undergraduate students and law students who have completed their first year of law school practical experience working on civil litigation matters within The Umansky Law Firm. Interns assist attorneys with legal research, case preparation, and reviewing evidence while learning how personal injury cases progress from client intake through negotiation, settlement, or trial.
Interns have the opportunity to observe hearings and trials and gain insight into how attorneys advocate for injured clients and build strong cases. This internship is ideal for students interested in litigation, personal injury law, and client advocacy.
The Marketing & Business Development Internship at The Umansky Law Firm offers undergraduate students the details of the strategic side of running and growing a successful law firm. Interns assist with marketing research, campaign planning, and outreach initiatives while learning how marketing contributes to lead generation and client acquisition.
Interns also participate in social media content creation, helping develop and capture content that highlights the firm’s work, events, and community involvement. Students gain behind-the-scenes exposure to law firm marketing strategies, branding, digital outreach, and client engagement. Marketing and business development interns are also involved in planning and executing firm events from concept to completion, providing valuable experience in both marketing strategy and business development within the legal industry.
