Hardship License Instructions

Disclaimer: Only first time offenders (people who have never refused to blow or blown over the legal limit) who had a valid license at the time of their arrest and are Florida residents are eligible to apply for a hardship. Also, applying for the hardship constitutes a waiver of an administrative hearing challenging the suspension.

Here are the steps on how to request your hardship ONLINE through the Florida Safety Council’s new online Covid-19 procedure. Let me know if you have any questions.

You only have 10 days from the date you were arrested to complete all of these steps!

  1. Enroll in the appropriate DUI School for where you live (see below).
  2. Locate a copy of your DUI citation from when you were arrested.
  3. Complete the attached form (Form 72034).
  4. Email or fax: (1) proof you enrolled in the DUI School, (2) a copy of your DUI citation, and (3) the completed Form 72034 to the email address or fax number associated with your appropriate DHSMV BAR location for where your case is being prosecuted (see below).
  5. Wait for the DHSMV BAR to contact you by email/telephone to complete your application process.
