$74.32 cost of investigation to the Polk Sheriff’s office, $50 cost of prosecution. Good deal, since I negotiated an identical sentence on the VOP that this case violated. Overall, client was immediately released from jail on the violation of probation for credit for time served (I arranged this within days of being hired) and I convinced the county court attorney to simply give him credit for the time he sat in jail for the same days that he was there on the violation of probation with no new probationary term and no additional sanctions.
