The Client was charged with Possession of Cocaine. Although the Client had prior charges from out of state, the prosecutor did not yet have verification of those records. After negotiations, both sides agreed to treat the Client as a first-time offender in exchange for completing a substance abuse evaluation and treatment. The Client ultimately received a Withhold of Adjudication and probation, which saved the Client’s driver’s license and prevented a felony conviction.
