The Client was charged with Battery after defending herself during an altercation with a Dollar General employee who struck her first. When the Client attempted to report the incident and asked for the employee’s name, the employee slapped the phone out of her hand, leading to a physical confrontation. Attorney filed a Stand Your Ground motion and presented video evidence showing the employee was the initial aggressor. The judge granted the motion, and the case was dismissed. The Client avoided a criminal conviction and was fully cleared of wrongdoing.
