Client and her ex-boyfriend were together with their daughter when he said he planned to have the child blessed by a voodoo priestess. Client objected and told him to give her the child. He refused. Client took the child’s hand, and the ex-boyfriend pushed her. She scratched and bit him during the struggle. Attorney spoke with the child’s father and obtained a declination of prosecution. The State dismissed the case.
