Client criminally charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Client allegedly hit 3 vehicles. Attorney Zahra Umansky provided mitigating evidence to the prosecutor. Prosecutor agreed to amend criminal charge to a civil ticket! Then Attorney Zahra Umansky filed for an expunction for the Client’s behalf with Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE). FDLE claimed that Client’s record could not be expunged, only sealed because she had pled to a civil ticket. Attorney Zahra Umansky appealed FDLE, and the Court agreed and ordered FDLE to issue an Expunge Certificate of Eligibility! Then Attorney Zahra Umansky got the Court to grant Client’s expunction over the alleged Victim’s objection! Client can now put this unfortunate situation behind her!
