DV Battery and Petit Theft Dismissed

Case Number: 2024-MM-405872-A-O
County: Orange

Client hired is for a Domestic Violence Battery case. His ex-girlfriend and her adult son were living rent free in his house. She fabricated a battery and claimed he stole from her, knowing that when you are a victim in a domestic case, you get control of the shared residence which is exactly what happened. We guided client through the eviction process and he successfully evicted her. We then got the judge in our criminal case to allow him back home by showing how another court had evicted her. But then, the victim retaliated by claiming he broke the no contact order, when he absolutely did not. So client ended up getting a second charge! This victim was incredibly aggressive, even with the State, and went as far as hiring her own victim advocate attorney. But we were ultimately able to uncover similar cases where she had done this to other men to convince the State that she is using the system. All charges in both cases DISMISSED! Client can FINALLY move on with his life and away from this toxic relationship. Client was beyond grateful for our services and says he feels bad for the men in the past who could not afford to hire representation to fight her.
