Domestic Violence Battery – Dismissed on Self-Defense Grounds

Domestic Violence Battery – Dismissed on Self-Defense Grounds

Case Number: 2025 MM 001062
Charges: DV BATTERY
County: Osceola

Client was arrested for Domestic Violence Battery after a dispute with his ex-girlfriend during her visit with their daughter. Evidence showed that she initiated the altercation while intoxicated and refused to leave the home. Although police admitted they could not determine who was telling the truth, they arrested Client anyway. We filed a Motion to Dismiss based on self-defense, and after a contentious hearing, the judge granted the motion and dismissed all charges. Because the case was dismissed on self-defense grounds, Client is now eligible to expunge his record and preserve his professional standing.
