On June 12, 2022, Client’s former employer received threatening texts that appeared on caller ID as coming from Client, leading to a felony charge of making written threats to kill. The attorney obtained Client’s phone records, which proved he never sent the messages, and emphasized that phone numbers can easily be spoofed. After the attorney pushed toward trial and presented the evidence, the State investigated and dismissed the case — fully clearing Client of the false accusation.
