Kim Durbeej

Kim brings nearly a decade of experience in criminal defense to her role at the Umansky Law Firm, where she focuses on helping people feel supported, informed, and understood during some of the most stressful moments of their lives.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology along with a degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida, a background that helps her approach each client interaction with both practical insight and empathy.

Before joining the firm, Kim worked as a paralegal at the Lake County Public Defender’s Office, assisting with misdemeanor, felony, and juvenile cases. That experience gave her a strong understanding of how the criminal justice system works from the inside and shaped her calm, steady approach to guiding clients through it.

At the Umansky Law Firm, Kim serves as a Senior Client Relations Specialist, where she helps individuals understand what to expect, what questions to ask, and how to move forward with confidence. Known for her patience and compassion, she takes pride in being a steady point of contact for clients when they need clarity and reassurance most.

Kim remains deeply committed to client education and care, and she plays an important role in making sure every client feels heard, respected, and supported from the very first conversation.
