Violent Felony Offender Probation Violation – Prison Avoided and Client Reinstated

Case Number: 2021-CF-000941-A-O
Charges: 1. Attempted Second Degree Murder (With A Firearm) 2. Aggravated Battery with a Firearm 3. Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felony
County: Orange

Client had already served four years in prison and completed one year of probation when a new arrest triggered a violation as a Violent Felony Offender of Special Concern. We first met while he was in Osceola County Jail, and within nine days, I secured his release from Orange County Jail with no added time, no extra conditions, and no change to his termination date. Even after a formal danger hearing, the court agreed he deserved another chance. Client is now home with his family, working to restore his driver’s license, and on track to finish probation as scheduled.
