The Client originally had the Public Defender representing him in this case. At that time, the Public Defender was preparing for trial and had stopped plea negotiations, with the last offer being 48 months in prison. After being retained, our Attorney restarted negotiations and was immediately able to cut the offer in half. Continued negotiation led to a final resolution of a Withhold of Adjudication, 18 months of probation (terminable at 9 months), and completion of an anger management class. This result meant the Client was not convicted of the charges and avoided a lengthy prison sentence.
