The Client was facing six years in prison. The State’s offer included an adjudication to the felony and drug offender probation, but the Attorney chose to take the case to trial. After trial, the jury found the Client not guilty of the felony possession charge and guilty only of the misdemeanor resisting charge. Because of this outcome, the Client is not a convicted felon and will retain the right to vote.
