On September 4, 2022, Client was stopped for an expired tag, and the officer reported the odor of cannabis. A search revealed cannabis in the center console and in bags, and Client admitted ownership. Knowing that FDLE was heavily backlogged and might not be able to process the evidence in time, the attorney monitored the case closely. Because the State could not obtain lab results before the filing deadline, the prosecutor filed a No Information and dismissed the case after three months — fully clearing Client of the charge.
