On March 1, 2025, client’s husband called police claiming she attacked him. Officers observed a torn shirt, and client admitted to grabbing him. Their daughter gave a conflicting statement, saying the husband had pushed the client to the ground. Client was arrested for domestic violence battery. Attorney communicated with the husband and arranged for a declination of prosecution, as the court had already permitted non-hostile contact between them. Before the declination was formally received, client chose to hire an immigration/criminal attorney, though even that attorney confirmed the case had been properly handled and no further action was needed. No information was ever filed.
